Regeneration Programmes in health and education themes The Health Village Working with a partner school, its local PCT and Strategic Health Authority, the Ormiston Education Trust is developing proposals to address all aspects of health within a community to raise overall standards of well-being. The proposal aims to develop a health conscious community through the development of skills and capabilities across the community. Work force reform and the support of the Every Child Matters agenda within the community are integral to the proposals. The Ormiston Education Trust has been instrumental in developing this unique and ambitious vision as well as project managing its progress. In addition Ormiston are supporting the initiative financially and are instrumental in encouraging others to do likewise. Education And Transformation Of Learning Ormiston staff have extensive experience of working in Partnership to regenerate communities and have provided both strategic consultancy in the design of improvement strategies and in their successful delivery. This work has included preparing the feasibility study for new academies in areas of significant deprivation, the drafting of proposals for transforming education among schools in challenging circumstances and the management of the change strategies. These strategies have been seen as high quality both in terms of design, delivery and impact by both local and national government. The Trust is seeking partners to take forward community regeneration programmes. This could involve the development of bespoke solutions for a community based education strategy or the deployment of existing proven Ormiston programmes. |
