James Miller

James has a strong ICT background, with 11 years supporting ICT programmes in education and seven years supporting the delivery and scrutiny of ICT capital programmes for the Department for Education. James leads the team responsible for supporting Ormiston-sponsored academies with procurement and maintenance of ICT software and maintenance, making sure they get the best out of their investments. He is passionate about education and sits on the governing bodies of three Ormiston-sponsored academies.

the strategic development of Ormiston Academies Trust’s approach to ICT, helping schools and academies to use technology in a way which enhances their learning, teaching, management and leadership. He manages Ormiston Education’s e-learning development team, whose work includes providing computer-based alternative education for marginal learners.

Until the appointment of a new Chief Executive, James Miller, Angela Preston and Paul Nye will be responsible for the management of the company.
