Malcolm Smith

Malcolm has a strong background in teaching in primary schools, training and resource development. He has previously held roles as a manager of a national whole school intervention strategy for school food; and managing an environmental education centre and school award scheme. His achievements include developing an innovative national programme of Continuing Professional Development training for school professionals and local delivery partners; and being involved in the creation of paper-based and web-based resources involving global learning in schools.
 
Malcolm is responsible for…
As Head of Development, Malcolm leads the E-learning Development Team on a range of innovative curriculum development projects. This includes the You Choose portfolio and Malcolm is also responsible for the ‘Ormiston Achievement Quality Mark’ (previously the Every Child Matters Quality Mark).
 
Malcolm works closely with schools, local authorities and other educational establishments to ensure the e-learning development team meets the needs of Ormiston’s diverse client group. This also includes building strong partnership links with like-minded organisations such as ASDAN, V and Widgit.
