Performance Reviews

All schools monitor performance through their School Self Review and Evaluation programme that form the basis of the School Evaluation Form (SEF) evidence base. The Performance Review Report provides a validation or, where appropriate, a challenge to school judgements, thereby ensuring that SEF evidence is robust.

Reviews can be focused upon individual teacher's specific departments or other aspects of the schools work. For example Teaching and Learning Quality judgements benefit from an external perception.

Reviews are carefully planned and based upon a discussion with the school to identify the key areas for review. A specialist experienced in the area of focus carries out all of the review and provides both a verbal and a written report.

The report covers judgements based upon evidence of current performance and what is needed for improvement.
